Yesterday my fellow artist friend Rachel invited me along to her class at the Public Annex in Mt. Tabor where she teaches experimental drawing to community members with developmental disabilities. I usually avoid standard paper drawing since it’s not my medium – but it was great to just relax and try again in the midst of some majorly talented individuals. That night I went with Jesse and Rachel to an art opening at GoodFoot and we brought materials to playing drawing games on paper scraps. For me it was a pretty significant day since it’s rare that I have art time with other people in this city (I’m excited to announce that Rachel, Jesse and I will be having a show on Belmont in June).
